Shiki Studios

Meet Kayleigh.

Two decades on Canadian sets. A Series Regular, a lead in six films, and the founder who built Shiki Studios so actors could train with someone still in the room.

Her story.

Kayleigh Shikanai has spent over two decades working on Canadian film and television sets as a professional actor. Audiences may recognize her from series such as Gangnam Project and The Next Step, as well as leading roles in films including Rush for Your Life, Hotel for the Holidays, Bad Influence, and Homekilling Queen.

Driven by her passion for helping other performers, Kayleigh founded Shiki Studios, a supportive space where actors can create, learn, and gain real industry insight into building a successful career in film & television.

At Shiki Studios, actors don't just train. They leave with professional footage for their demo reels & self tapes that guarantee you will stand out! She also provides valuable agency industry connections, and practical tools actors can use to pursue representation and book work. Kayleigh is passionate about being on actors' journeys and helping them turn their dreams into reality!

How she teaches.

The same three rules run through every class, tape, and session at Shiki.

01

Everyone works, every class.

No watching from the back. Every actor is up, on camera, every single session. Reps are how you get comfortable, and comfort is what reads on screen.

02

Footage, not certificates.

A certificate has never booked anyone a role. You leave with a finished 4K reel and the agency contact list to send it, because that is what actually moves a career forward.

03

I teach what I am doing this week.

Casting changes fast. I am on set as a working actor, so what you learn is current, not a workshop someone ran a decade ago.
