This program is designed for all ages and experience levels. Whether you’re new to film and television acting or a seasoned performer looking to refine your craft, this class is for you!
We currently offer classes for:
– Adults (18+)
– Teens (12-17)
– Youth (11 & under)
PROGRAM OVERVIEW:
Over five weeks, actors will work on two contrasting scenes and a monologue. All 3 scenes will be filmed on a professional 4K camera, with the footage edited, colour-corrected, and audio-enhanced to create a high-quality demo reel. We guarantee you won’t find a better-quality tape anywhere else!

Your performance will be professionally shot, edited, colour-corrected, and audio-enhanced, ensuring you receive a polished demo reel. This footage is perfect for agency submissions, updating your reel, or tracking your personal progress.
HERE’S WHAT TO EXPECT:
– Master the foundations of authentic film and television acting
– Learn essential on-camera techniques
– Develop strong scene analysis skills
– Explore character development and script breakdown
– Gain industry insights, including agency discussions and the differences between union vs non-union work
– Learn the dos and don’ts of auditioning
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
– Online students have the option to film their demo at the studio during weeks 4 and 5.
– All actors must film their demo’s on the designated shoot day. If you need to film separately at the studio, additional charges will apply.
PREPARATION:
All class materials will be provided. Please ensure your material is memorized and prepared before each session.

Kayleigh Shikanai has worked professionally in the film/ tv industry for over 20 years. She quickly achieved success, landing lead acting roles in Hotel for the Holidays (Amazon Prime), Rush for Your Life (Tubi Original), Gangnam Project Series (CBC Gem), The Next Step Series (Family Channel), Bad Influence (Tubi Original), Homekilling Queen (Lifetime) & Level 16 (Netflix).
Kayleigh Shikanai is passionate about performing, acting, and dancing. In addition to her flourishing acting career, she has built a successful professional dance career, working on numerous film and television projects. The knowledge she has gained through her experiences in both dance and acting enables her to share valuable insights with fellow artists, actors, dancers, and students. She is deeply committed to supporting artists on their creative journeys and helping them achieve their goals in a meaningful and positive way.

They don’t get to see the sun and are told that the air outside is poisonous. It gets worse. Two girls become friends again and try to flee.
